Semi truck carrying White Claw catches fire on I-694

Around 12:10am Monday the New Brighton Department of Public Safety said police and firefighters responded to a semi-trailer on fire in the area of Interstate 694 and 35W.

Crews said they found the semi, which was carrying alcoholic seltzers White Claw, heavily on fire. After putting the fire out, firefighters remained on the scene for four hours assisting with the recovery process.

No one was injured in the fire. The driver of the semi said the fire started in the brakes, according to the New Brighton Department of Public Safety.

The Minnesota State Patrol also assisted at the scene.
