More lane and ramp closures begin Monday along I-35W

Lane and ramp closures will get in your way if you need to travel along Interstate 35W this week.

The right lane will be closed along I-35W in both directions between 66th and 76th streets in Richfield starting Monday. The ramps at I-35W southbound and 66th and 76th streets at I-35W will close on Monday, too. All lanes and ramps are set to reopen Friday, May 1. The work is part of a concrete repair project.

Up ahead in south Minneapolis, I-35W northbound will be reduced to two lanes from 35th Street to 28th Street from Monday through Friday. Crews will be working each day between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

If you’re traveling near the airport, the ramp from Interstate 494 westbound to 34th Avenue closes Monday and reopens one week later, on May 4. Meanwhile, one lane along Highway 5 closed on Friday between Davern Street in St. Paul to Terminal 1 and won’t reopen until Friday, May 1.
