Minnesota State Patrol urging drivers to ‘drive smart’ as road conditions worsen due to ice, snow
The Minnesota State Patrol is urging drivers to "drive smart" as road conditions worsen due to ice and snow.
In a tweet, the state patrol says that ice and snow are creating treacherous driving conditions across portions of the state.
They urge people to check 511mn.org before hitting the road, to slow down, increase following distance, turn on headlights and turn cruise control off.
With snow on the way, the Minnesota State Patrol calls on drivers to help prevent deadly crashes
Snowy and icy conditions are expected to last throughout the rest of the day according to KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas.
