Minnesota State Patrol investigating fatal crash in Victoria; Hwy 7 closed
A portion of Highway 7 in Victoria was closed Monday morning as authorities investigated a fatal crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol said troopers were at the scene of the crash, near Baycliffe Drive. The crash happened at about 8:19 a.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2007 International truck being driven by 40-year-old Todd Mitchel Breyer of Glencoe was eastbound on Highway 7 when a westbound 2018 Chevrolet Suburban crossed the center line and made contact. The driver of the Suburban died in the crash, Breyer suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the other driver in this crash will be released at a later time.
Eastbound Highway 7 was expected to remain closed for an extended period of time.
The crash is under investigation.
