Large police presence briefly shuts down I-494 in Minnetonka due to stolen vehicle, search for suspect

MnDOT cameras showed a large police presence on Interstate 494 in Minnetonka during the afternoon commute Tuesday.
Both northbound and southbound lanes were briefly shut down near Excelsior Boulevard and Baker Road.
The Bloomington Police Department said on social media they received a report of a stolen vehicle and it was located near Interstate 494 and Hwy 7.
A vehicle was stolen in Bloomington within the last hour and located near 494 and Hwy 7. The suspect fled from the car on foot and we are now assisting Minnetonka PD with the search.

The suspect reportedly fled from the vehicle on foot and the Minnetonka Police Department is assisting in a search for the suspect.
