I-35W closure near Minneapolis Friday as crew moves crane into work zone
Drivers will want to find an alternate route if they’re planning to take Interstate 35W north between Highway 62 and Interstate 94 early this weekend.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, crews are going to move a large crane into the work area of the interstate’s drainage improvement project.
Northbound lanes of I-35W will close at 10 p.m Friday and reopen after 6 a.m. Saturday.
The suggested detour is Highway 62 west to Highway 100 north to Interstate 394 east to I-35W north.
