Highway 13 to close in Savage Aug. 12-15

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, there will be a full closure in each direction of Highway 13 in Savage between Quentin Ave. and Highway 101.

The closure will begin Friday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. through Monday, Aug. 15 at 5 a.m.

Drivers should follow the signed detour using Highway 169, I-494 and I-35W. Local access to ports of Savage will be open during the closure.

The closure is due to work on a new interchange at Dakota Ave. which will include a Hwy 13 bridge over Dakota Ave. and access ramps. The entire project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2023.

Following the weekend closure, drivers can still expect traffic down to a single lane on Hwy 13 between Quentin Ave. and Hwy 101 through Nov.

Crews will be working on a section of Highway 13 this weekend in Savage.
