The temperatures are dropping, but some Minnesotans might still be spending their weekends in greater Minnesota.
There’s still a project underway along Interstate 35 between North Branch and Forest Lake. While the northbound lanes are open, the southbound side is down to one lane. Crews are working each day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through late October. The project is expected to wrap up in late October.
In central Minnesota, Highway 47 has reopened between Isle and Ogilvie. The 22-mile stretch of roadway had been closed for the last six months as part of a resurfacing and bridge project.
Meanwhile, a milling and paving project begins Friday along Highway 12 in Cokato. Watch for crews and expect lane shifts in the work zone through October 30.
There is better news along Highway 7 in Victoria, where the eastbound lanes are expected to reopen between Merrywood Lane and Waterford Lane by 8 p.m. Friday.
