Early flurries create conditions for crashes around the state, fatal collision reported in metro

Flurries in parts of northern Minnesota on Friday caused some crashes, according to authorities.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting a crash on northbound Highway 101 east of the Mississippi River bridge at the Highway 101/169/10 interchange. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash is fatal.
Drivers are asked to find an alternative route.
The state patrol also reported troopers responded to four crashes in Clay County.
In one instance, the state patrol reported a vehicle went off the interstate and down the overpass near Barnesville. No one was hurt in that incident, according to the state patrol.
Reports of injuries in the other three crashes were not immediately released.
