Burnsville woman arrested for DWI after rollover crash, vehicle fire
A Burnsville woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after a rollover crash that resulted in a vehicle fire.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, troopers responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 13 at Cliff Road just after 1 a.m.
When troopers arrived at the scene, the vehicle was unoccupied and on fire. Witnesses reported seeing a woman flee from the vehicle after it crashed.
The state patrol said Burnsville police later located the alleged driver of the vehicle, who was identified as a 24-year-old woman. At that time, a trooper observed signs of suspected impairment during their interaction.
She was taken to a hospital and a search warrant was obtained for a blood sample. The woman was then booked at Dakota County Jail under suspicion of driving while impaired.
An investigation remains active.
