If you are traveling southwest of the Twin Cities this weekend, you will encounter a road closure along Highway 212. The roadway closed earlier this week between Tacoma Avenue in Norwood Young America and County Road 53 in Cologne.

Drivers heading westbound will be detoured north of Highway 212 along Highway 5/Highway 25. Eastbound traffic is being diverted south of the highway to County Road 50. Highway 212 is expected to reopen by Monday. Learn more about the project.

Meanwhile, Interstate 94 is still seeing a lot of heavy traffic on weekends as folks head north of the Twin Cities to cabin country. A new traffic configuration is in place along I-94 westbound in Albertville. Traffic is getting shifted to a nearby local access road near County Road 37 for about 1 mile before returning to I-94. The new traffic pattern will stay in place until this fall. Learn more about the project.

If you’re heading up to Mille Lacs Lake, Highway 47 remains closed between Ogilvie and Isle. Crews are in the process of reconstructing 22 miles of roadway. The work continues through late August. Highway 65 and Highway 169 remain open in the area. Learn more about the project.
