Another workweek means more road and ramp closures for Twin Cities drivers

Another workweek will soon be underway and that will bring another round of road and ramp closures, too.

In Minneapolis, Interstate 94 eastbound is shutting down overnight between interstates 394 and 35W. The closure begins at 10 p.m. Sunday and will clear by 5 a.m. Monday.

Later in the week, I-394 will close, too. The westbound lanes will shut down between I-94 and Highway 100 Tuesday starting at 11:59 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday. The eastbound lanes will close along that same stretch Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

In the east metro, add another ramp closure to the list at the I-694/I-494 interchange. I-494 southbound to Tamarack Road is shutting down early Monday until late August. The following nearby ramps remain closed through September:

  • I-494 northbound to Tamarck Road
  • Tamarack Road to I-494 southbound
  • 10th Street to I-694 northbound
