58-year-old man killed in rollover crash in Mendota Heights
A 58-year-old man from Otsego died early Thursday morning following a rollover crash in Mendota Heights.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at 2:51 a.m., the 58-year-old man was driving a GMC Yukon eastbound at high speed in the westbound lanes of Highway 13.
The vehicle ran a red light at Highway 55 and then failed to make the curve at Furlong Avenue. The vehicle crossed the median into the eastbound lanes then rolled off the road.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. The driver was fatally pinned under the vehicle, according to the state patrol.
The state patrol does not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The identity of the man will be released at a later time.
