57-year-old woman killed in Scott County crash

A 57-year-old woman died after a head-on crash in Scott County Monday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 13 at 240th Street.
The crash report states a Dodge Grand Caravan was northbound on Highway 13 and a Kia Soul was southbound when the two collided head-on. The Dodge then went into the east ditch and rolled.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as Judith Lynn Pierce, of New Prague, was killed in the crash, the State Patrol said.
The driver of the Kia suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the crash report, both were wearing seat belts and alcohol isn’t believed to be a factor in the crash.
