4 taken to hospital after Pierce County crash
Four people were taken to hospitals after a two-vehicle crash in Hager City, Wisconsin, Sunday.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to a crash near the intersection of Highway 63 and 830th Street at about 5:57 p.m.
Investigators determined a 17-year-old from Red Wing was driving a Chevrolet Cruze north on Highway 63. As she was driving, the 17-year-old came upon a vehicle yielding to oncoming traffic to make a left-hand turn, and she swerved to avoid striking the stopped vehicle and drove into oncoming southbound traffic.
Her vehicle was struck by a Chevrolet Traverse, which was driven by 25-year-old Cameron Gardiner, of Ellsworth.
Gardiner and two of his passengers, 24-year-old Jazmine Hanson and 83-year-old Patricia Hanson, were taken to a hospital with undetermined injuries. Horne was also taken to a hospital with undetermined injuries. Two juveniles in Gardiner’s vehicle were not hurt, the sheriff’s office said.
The crash remains under investigation.
