Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash that occurred late Tuesday night in Chanhassen.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at about 11:51 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 5 and Powers Boulevard.
The 43-year-old driver of a Dodge Durango was traveling westbound on Highway 5 and crossed the intersection of Powers Boulevard as the 20-year-old driver of a Ford Fusion was traveling northbound. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, according to the state patrol.
Two of the three passengers in the Dodge Durango—a 42-year-old and a 12-year-old—were hurt, though state patrol reported their injuries were not considered to be life-threatening. The driver of the Dodge Durango was not hurt, authorities said.
Troopers said they suspect the 20-year-old driver of the Ford Fusion was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. The driver sustained injuries not considered to be life-threatening, according to the state patrol.
The incident remains under investigation.
