2nd person dies following Polk County crash

A second person has died from injuries suffered in a crash in Polk County, Wisconsin, Thursday morning.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that 70-year-old Jerri Wayne LaPage, of Clayton, Wis., died from his injuries. LaPage was the driver of a Chrysler minivan that was hit by a Mazda SUV that ran through a stop sign.

The Chrysler’s passenger, identified as 58-year-old Heidi LaPage, also of Clayton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female driver of the Mazda, the lone person in the vehicle, suffered possible injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office said its investigation remains ongoing.
