2 vehicles sustain severe damage in Highway 169 crash in Plymouth

Authorities are investigating a crash on Highway 169 in Plymouth that reduced traffic in the area to one lane in both directions.

The Minnesota State Patrol said troopers were on scene at about 9:45 a.m. to investigate an injury crash.

Injuries were not expected to be serious, the state patrol said, but the lane closures on Highway 169 near Rockford Road will remain in place for an extended period of time.

According to Plymouth Police, one driver was transported to the hospital. The vehicles suffered severe damages, but the cable barrier kept the crash from being much worse.

No other details were immediately available.
