2 killed, 1 injured in motorcycle crash in Becker County

Two people died Sunday night after a motorcycle collided with a van in Shell Lake Township.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office said deputies received a report of a crash near the intersection of County Highway 39 and Bass Lake Road at about 7:28 p.m.

Authorities learned a 2017 Harley Davidson was southbound on Highway 39 when it collided with a van that was turning north onto Highway 39.

The driver and passenger on the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office identified them as 50-year-old Leonard Lewis Holmer and 51-year-old Nancy Marlene Holmer, of rural Perham.

The driver of the van, identified as 57-year-old Roy Oscar Lattie, of White Earth, was taken to a hospital with undetermined injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
