2 juveniles arrested after short pursuit, crash on Highway 100 bridge

Two boys were arrested Friday after a short pursuit ended with a vehicle crashing and flipping on the Highway 100 bridge.

According to New Hope Police, officers received a call at about 12:25 p.m. that a vehicle was at a gas station on the 7200 block of Bass Lake Road. Police said the vehicle was stolen and the driver had driven off without paying for gas twice in recent days.

Police responded and the vehicle took off as officers arrived at the gas station, leading to a short pursuit, which ended when the vehicle crashed on Highway 100 between France Avenue and 50th Avenue North.

A juvenile was taken into custody at the gas station while another was taken into custody at the crash site. The boy at the crash site suffered minor injuries, police said.
