2 dead following head-on collision near Scandia

Two people have died following a head-on crash in Washington County Thursday night.

The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. along Olinda Trail North, near Scandia.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports both drivers involved in the crash died at the scene.

The victims were identified as 29-year-old Derek R. Keeney of Scandia and 32-year-old Jamie R Hallberg of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.

The crash remains under investigation.
