15-year-old in critical condition after ATV crash in Shafer Township

A 15-year-old girl is in critical condition Thursday morning after an ATV crash in Shafer Township.
According to Chisago County Sheriff’s Office, at 9:53 a.m. dispatchers received a 911 call from a resident who witnessed an ATV crash in Shafer Township.
The initial information indicated a girl was injured and that she had been driving the ATV alone.
Bystanders provided lifesaving efforts until emergency services arrived at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
The girl, in critical condition, was transported to a local trauma center via Life Link III.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
