Woman opens 1970s-themed vintage vacation rental near Cambridge

One woman is taking a decade known for disco and turning it into a business.

Eva Slattery is turning her grandparents’ former home near Cambridge into a 1970s vintage vacation rental.

"It’s a place where people can dress up, take photos and have fun, themed parties," Slattery said.

The house has an indoor pool and is full of items from the groovy decade.

"Everything has been thrifted or found off Facebook Marketplace," Slattery said. "I have a disco ball that will be in the basement, for sure."

Slattery said she hopes people staying there feel like they’re going back in time.

The rental is called Grandpa’s Pool House and opens this weekend.
