Woman hurt in head-on Andover crash involving bus, vehicle

Authorities were at the scene of a crash involving a bus and another vehicle in Andover early Tuesday.

The head-on crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. along Round Lake Boulevard near 154th Lane, a KSTP crew at the scene reported.

A preliminary investigation revealed a sedan was traveling south on Round Lake Boulevard when the driver crossed the median and crashed into an Anoka County Traveler Transit Link bus traveling north, according to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.

After the first collision, the bus also crashed into an SUV also traveling south on Round Lake Boulevard.

A woman with minor injuries was taken to a nearby hospital, the sheriff’s office reported.

There were no passengers aboard the bus at the time of the crash.

The crash temporarily closed southbound and northbound lanes in the area.

The crash remains under investigation.
