Wisconsin man dies after Fridley crash
A 29-year-old man from Wisconsin has died after a crash in Fridley Monday night.
The crash happened just before 10 p.m. at the Highway 65 and Medtronic Parkway intersection, north of Interstate 694, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
An incident report states the 29-year-old, who was in an Acura, was driving south on Highway 65 at a high rate of speed. The Acura crossed into the northbound lanes and hit a traffic signal in the northeast part of the intersection before hitting a Mitsubishi.
The 29-year-old Acura driver was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was not hurt, according to the state patrol.
The crash remains under investigation.
