What’s open, closed on Thanksgiving Day

Thursday is Thanksgiving Day.
The day is a federal holiday, so keep that in mind for what’s open and closed Thursday.
U.S. Postal Service offices are closed and FedEx and UPS will not deliver mail except for critical services.
Banks will also be closed Thursday, as will the stock market.
Federal, state, county and city offices will also be closed.
Some grocery stores are closed, while others remain open. Target and Walmart will be closed, as will Lunds & Byerlys. However, Cub Foods and Hy-Vee will be open.
Metro Transit buses and light rail trains will operate on Sunday or holiday service hours.
