Weekend closure along I-494 in Woodbury

Starting Friday, evening drivers will not be able to travel west on Interstate 494 in the Woodbury area.

All westbound lanes will be closed from Tamarack Road to Lake Road from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday.

A detour route is in place using Highway 61 and Interstate 94.

I-494 will also be closed in Richfield area near the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

All lanes in both directions will be closed between Cedar and Interstate 35W.

The closure starts at 10 p.m. on Saturday and wraps up at 7 a.m. on Sunday.

Drivers are advised to use Crosstown or I-35E depending on where they are coming from to get around the closure.
