Vikings’ Jeff Gladney turns himself in on felony assault warrant in Dallas
Minnesota Vikings cornerback Jeff Gladney turned himself in Monday morning on a felony assault warrant in Dallas, Texas.
Gladney had a warrant issued for his arrest for assault of a family member, according to court records.
A spokesperson with the Dallas Police Department said Gladney and a 22-year-old woman were involved in fight over content on a cell phone on Friday.
Police say the fight escalated and Gladney physically assaulted the victim.
Gladney turned himself in Monday morning. The cornerback posted bond and was released four minutes after being booked in jail.
The Vikings issued the following statement Monday evening:
"We are aware of Jeff’s arrest and are gathering additional information. We take this matter very seriously, as the reported allegations are extremely disturbing. At this time we will have no further comment."
