Video: DE Everson Griffen excited to be back with Vikings

UPDATE: The Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent defensive end Everson Griffen. We hear it’s a 1-year deal.

The signing took place after KSTP Sports reported early Monday negotiation of terms was happening.

Griffen worked out with the Minnesota Vikings last Wednesday, as KSTP Sports was first to report.

Griffen spent 10 seasons with the Vikings from 2010-19, appearing in 147 games, 88 of which were starts.

Over the course of his tenure with the Vikings, he recorded 86 tackles for loss and 74.5 sacks, which rank third and fourth in franchise history.
