Victim who died from Bloomington apartment shooting identified
The man found dead from a shooting in a Bloomington apartment on Monday has been identified as 22-year-old Shakur Freed Muhammed, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
Muhammed from Hopkins died from multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death is a homicide.
According to the Bloomington Police Department, just after 5:30 a.m., police were called to 6800 block of West Old Shakopee Road on reports of gunshots. Once officers arrived, they located Mohamed Amin Bayle Idd, 26 and Abdi Bishar Mohamed, 27, suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Information then led officers to an apartment in the area, where they found Muhammed’s body.
Idd and Mohamed were taken into custody eventually after being treated for their injuries. They are being charged with aiding an offender and illegal possession of a firearm or ammunition. They’re both in custody at Hennepin County Jail in connection to the death of Muhammed.
Police said the victim Muhammed had been with Idd and Mohamed earlier that night. At some point, a confrontation took place in an apartment formerly leased by Idd and Muhammed suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
