Victim of Sunday morning shooting in Minneapolis identified

The victim of a fatal shooting Sunday morning in Minneapolis has been identified.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 30-year-old Jose Rodrigo Miranda-Quintero, of Minneapolis.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, at 2:09 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Lake Street and Chicago Avenue. There, officers found Miranda-Quintero inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital in grave condition but died a short time later.

Police are still investigating the shooting.

No arrests had been announced as of Monday morning.
