Victim in deadly north Minneapolis shooting identified
Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the man who died from a shooting in north Minneapolis on Wednesday.
The examiner said Andrew Thomas McGinley, 37, of Minneapolis, died from multiple gunshot wounds near Plymouth Avenue North and Knox Avenue North at 8:57 p.m.
Minneapolis police said on Wednesday evening, officers found McGinley was found in grave condition from a gunshot wound. Officers attempted lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived, but McGinley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the McGinley was outside with a bunch of people when an argument escalated into gunfire. No one else was hurt.
The suspect fled the area, and no arrests had been made.
