Vaccinations begin at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center Friday

The race to vaccinate Minnesotans against COVID-19 will be getting a boost as people start receiving Johnson & Johnson’s new shot.

Gov. Tim Walz highlighted the progress the state is making as a new community vaccination site comes online at Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) Performance Center in Eagan, the Vikings’ training facility.

Approximately 13,400 Johnson & Johnson doses will be administered at TCO Performance Center to health care workers and seniors Friday through Tuesday.

The Eagan vaccination event joins five other community vaccination sites in Minneapolis, Duluth, Rochester, Bloomington and St. Paul.
