US attorney for Minnesota: Anyone who traveled from Minnesota to DC to commit crimes will be prosecuted

The United States attorney for Minnesota and FBI special agent in charge are commiting to prosecuting any Minnesotans who traveled to Washington, D.C. to commit violence.

A release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office condemned the violence at the Capitol and surrounding area, adding that the office is committed to upholding the rule of law and holding those who traveled from Minnesota that took place in illegal actions accountable.

The FBI continues to seek information that will assist in identifying people who were active in the violence in D.C.

Anyone who witnessed unlawful violent actions is urged to submit information, photos or videos that could be relevant at fbi.gov/USCapitol or by calling 1-800-225-5324 to verbally report tips.
