UPDATE: Search crews find 12-year-old boy’s body in Mississippi River

The Ramsey County Water Patrol recovered a boy’s body on Wednesday just downstream from the Lilydale boat launch.

The body was confirmed to be the missing 12-year-old boy, Ashok Pradhan, who went into the Mississippi River in St. Paul Monday night, the family confirmed with KSTP.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner also confirmed the identity of Pradhan on Wednesday.

According to the St. Paul Fire Department, search efforts for Pradhan were turned over to Ramsey County officials at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday and then continued to the next day.

A GoFundMe account for Pradhan’s family has been set up to help pay for funeral services.
