UPDATE: Body recovered, 2 rescued after canoe capsizes on Gervais Lake

UPDATE: A dive team located a body following a water rescue on Gervais Lake in Little Canada.

The commander of the Ramsey County Water Patrol confirmed Wednesday morning that a dive team found the body at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday.

Earlier, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office reported a canoe capsized on Gervais Lake at about 7:30 p.m.

Two men and a juvenile were in the canoe at the time it capsized.

The other man and the juvenile were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

Two men and a juvenile were in the boat at the time, officials said.

Crews were able to find the juvenile and one of the men. They were unhurt but were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

A dive team is continuing to search for the second man.
