UPDATE: Authorities locate missing 3-year-old in Sawyer County
UPDATE:
A 3-year-old who was reported missing in Sawyer County, Wisconsin, has been found alive, according to WQOW, an ABC affiliate in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
According to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, at 7:20 p.m. Abigail Ladwig and her dog Peanut were located walking from the woods into a neighboring yard a short distance from her residence.
Abigail suffered minor scratches, insect bites and dehydration after being in the woods nearly 24 hours.
She was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and was later released.
Authorities in Sawyer County, Wisconsin, are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 3-year-old who was last seen after she followed her family’s dog into the woods Sunday night.
The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office identified the girl as Abigail Ladwig.
The child was last seen at about 6:40 p.m. Sunday outside her home in Winter.
Authorities say Abigail has blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a black shirt with flowers on it.
A dog, identified as a gold and tan cocker spaniel, is believed to be with her.
According to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, volunteers are being asked to register at Doc Smith Park near the intersection of Park Street and Grove Avenue.
