UPDATE: 2 dead after domestic incident in Blaine, investigation underway

Two people are dead after a domestic situation in Blaine Monday night.
According to the Blaine Police Department, at about 8:36 p.m. officers were sent to a domestic situation on the 600 block of 120th Avenue NE in Blaine. Upon their arrival at the scene, authorities began to investigate and they learned a male with a gun was at the scene.
While law enforcement was on the scene, multiple gunshots were heard from inside of the residence. Police say two juveniles were located and taken to safety.
Multiple agencies from around the area responded to the scene and a perimeter was established. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team arrived on scene as well.
Attempts were made to contact people inside the home but were unsuccessful. According to police, officers entered the residence and located a deceased man and woman inside.
There are no suspects at large and there is no ongoing danger to the public at this time.
The incident remains under investigation by the Blaine Police Department, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. No additional information is available at this time.
