UPDATE: 17-year-old boy killed in Becker County shooting identified

A 17-year-old boy who was fatally shot Friday in Becker County has been identified as Michael Robert Erickson of Menahga, Minnesota.
According to the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, it received a report that someone had been shot in rural Menahga at about 9:35 a.m.
When authorities arrived at the scene, the boy was pronounced dead.
The incident is being investigated by the sheriff’s office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Authorities said the public is not at risk.
