U of M works to identify man who allegedly attempted to record person in shower
The University of Minnesota’s Department of Public Safety is attempting to identify a man who allegedly recorded a person while they were taking a shower last week.
The department said the incident happened at Frontier Hall at about 1:20 a.m. Thursday last week. The victim said they saw the suspect attempting to film them with a cellphone while they were in the shower.
Similar incidents have happened on Oct. 19 at Comstock Hall and on Oct. 13 at Frontier Hall. Police said this is a pattern seen recently.
The suspect was seen entering the building behind other residents gaining entry on Oct. 19.
He is described as being a 25- to 35-year-old man, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150 to 160 pounds, wearing a black jacket with yellow and white embroidery on the back, white or light blue baseball cap, and glasses.
If anyone sees this person, they are asked to call 911, so officers can speak with this individual. Anyone with information regarding this person is asked to call the university’s investigation division at 612-624-2677.
