Two hospitalized after Minneapolis shooting

Minneapolis police responded to an incident where two people had been shot overnight.

At 3:14 a.m. Saturday morning police arrived at an address in the 800 block of West Lake Street and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers applied a tourniquet to the leg of one victim, a 20-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

Police also provided aid to an unconscious man who had a life-threatening gunshot wound in his chest until firefighters and EMS were able to take over life-saving efforts.

The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the case.
