Truck hits, seriously injures pedestrian in Burnsville
A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a pickup truck Saturday night, according to a Minnesota Department of Public Safety report.
The report identifies the man as 30-year-old Yalemberhan Girma Biru of Minneapolis.
Biru was walking across Highway 13 on Nicollet Avenue in Burnsville when he was hit by a Toyota Tacoma traveling west on the highway, the report says.
The driver, a 47-year-old man from Burnsville, was not injured.
Alcohol was said to have been involved.
Burnsville and Dakota County agencies assisted at the scene.
No further information was provided.
