Toro recalls snowthrower due to ‘amputation hazard’
A local manufacturing company has recalled a model of its snowthrower due to an “amputation hazard,” according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The USCPSC says tThe Toro Company has recalled nearly 6,700 of its 2021 Toro Power Max 826 OHAE Snowthrower.
According to the USPSC, the auger can fail to disengage when the control lever is released. This poses an amputation hazard. No injuries have been reported.
According to the recall, the remedy for the issue is a repair that can be done for free at authorized Toro dealers.
