Toddler’s June bathtub drowning in Minneapolis apartment found to be homicide

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled a toddler’s death in June as a homicide.

According to an autopsy report, 2-year-old Biyamiin Abdirashid Adosh was pronounced dead at 4:05 a.m. on June 18 at the Hennepin County Medical Center emergency room. The Medical Examiner’s Office said the boy died from scalding injuries and an apparent bathtub drowning that occurred in an apartment on the 1600 block of South Fourth Street in Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the child’s death, but police spokesman John Elder said he could not comment on any suspects at this time.
