The Ordway announces new booster shot and mask requirement for audiences

Audience members will be required to show either proof of a COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot or a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of a performance to attend shows at the Ordway Center for Performing Arts, according to an announcement released by The Arts Partnership Friday.

The Arts Partnerships includes four local arts entities: the Ordway for the Performing Arts, Minnesota Opera, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Schubert Club.

A non-cloth mask, such as an N95, KN95, KF94 or a surgical mask will also be required. Masks meeting these requirements will be provided if needed and must be worn at all times regardless of vaccination status.

The new policy is set to go into effect on Feb. 1, according to the news release.

Anyone who has not received a booster, including children who are not yet eligible, must present a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours of the performance.

The test must be from a medically supervised PCR or antigen test. Rapid home tests will not be accepted.
