Teens identified in Polk County crash

Two teenagers have been identified in a fatal crash that happened Friday morning in western Wisconsin.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, McKinley Erickson, 16, and Kegan Koshiol, 15, from Dresser, Wisconsin, were killed in the crash.
Erickson and Koshiol were both members of the St. Croix Falls High School wrestling team.
"The SCF wrestling community lost two amazing young men today. Please send thoughts and prayers to the Koshiols and Ericksons. They'll be forever missed. #FAMILY," a Facebook post from the St. Croix Falls Wrestling Booster Club stated on Friday.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a report of a rollover crash at 7:41 a.m. Friday on 220th Street a half-mile south of Highway 8 in St. Croix Falls.
According to the crash report, an SUV headed northbound on 220th Street lost control in icy conditions and went off the road and into a ditch. The vehicle rolled over and hit several trees before coming to a stop.
Teenager, juvenile dead after Polk County crash
Koshiol died from injuries sustained in the crash, and Erickson was airlifted to Regions Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
Both occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of this crash, according to the crash report.
