Teen killed in Lake Minnetonka Jet Ski crash identified

A 15-year-old who died in a Jet Ski crash Wednesday on Lake Minnetonka has been identified.

Michael Patrick McNulty of Chanhassen died of multiple blunt force injuries after he collided with another Jet Ski around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday on East Upper Lake near Spring Lake Township.

Boaters in the area found McNulty unresponsive in the water and pulled him out. Deputies responding to the crash took over life-saving measures at the scene and eventually turned the victim over to paramedics, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office said.

McNulty was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
