After more than a year, Tattersall Distilling in northeast Minneapolis is planning to reopen its doors.
The company partnered up with two other distilleries to help make more than 100,000 gallons of hand sanitizer during the pandemic.
Jon Kreidler, the founder of the Tattersall Distilling, says it was hard to find supplies but helping the community was well worth it.
"The majority of it was donated," Kreidler said. "It was first responders, it was healthcare, nursing homes, anyone in the community. We got sanitizer into grocery stores for sale. The proceeds of that went to Second Harvest Heartland and funded a million meals as well."
Tattersall Distilling reopens next Thursday.
