Man arrested after SWAT team responds to standoff in St. Paul
SWAT team officers could be seen on Victoria Street near Van Buren around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
A man is facing domestic assault and threats of violence accusations after a standoff with St. Paul police officers Sunday night.
Officers say they were called to a “domestic situation” around 8 p.m. at a home near the intersection of Virginia Street and Thomas Avenue West where a man was reportedly armed with a gun with a female victim inside.
Police say the man refused to exit the home, prompting a standoff and the St. Paul SWAT team to respond.
The man later came out of the home and was arrested.
The female victim wasn’t hurt.
