Suspect charged in fatal Hudson stabbing

One of the two people arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing in Hudson has been charged.

Court records show 24-year-old William Davidson Junior has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide, attempted homicide, and use of a dangerous weapon in connection to the death of 26-year-old Cain Solheim.

The second person arrested in connection to the incident has yet to be charged.

According to police, the van believed to be connected to the stabbing was found at an apartment complex in Blaine.

Police responded to a reported stabbing just after 1 a.m. Sunday and found three people suffering from stab wounds in different locations. All three were taken to a hospital and one — later identified as Solheim — died from his injuries.

According to a criminal complaint, victims told investigators that an altercation had broken out after they left Dick’s Bar in Hudson. During the altercation, Solheim and the other two victims were stabbed.

The victims identified Davidson as being involved in the fight, according to the complaint.
